Lavender is an essential oil that has been used for millennia and noted for its cleansing and healthful properties. Through modern scientific testing, its time proven properties have been confirmed. There are multiple types of lavender (from different plants) and it is important to have lavandula angustifolia in order to acquire the most chemically potent form of this plant for healing. This specie is more refined and therefore more expensive but has much preferred qualities to use for personal health conditions. The preferred lavender is steam distilled from the flowering tops of plants with some of the finest quality from Europe. The Lavender we chose to use in Agape Beauty products is steam distilled from the flowering tops of plants from France (fine high altitude) and Bulgaria (super high altitude). These are joined together in equal ratios.
We find it continually mind-boggling to read the warning labels and ingredients on many of the “pure” lavender oils we see on the market. Truly pure and thoroughly tested Lavender essential oil should be pure enough to use even on the most sensitive of skin without a carrier oil.
